Even pets can get involved in the Green movement (but okay, they do need our help!)
Aluminum (small) and steel (large) pet food cans are desirable for recycling. Yet recycling industry sources estimate that less than 20 percent of aluminum pet food cans are recycled, compared to 54 percent of aluminum beverage cans (which is still appallingly low). A recent Purina survey found that only a little over half of cat owners recycle their cat food cans all of the time.
A survey a few months ago found that cat owners tend to be more highly educated than dog owners, so what’s up with that?
We need to all make a commitment to reduce, reuse, and recycle in every part of our lives. Even when it comes to feeding our cats!
